Head of Artificial Intelligence

As Head of AI, you will lead a seasoned machine learning team, taking the reins of a pipeline of existing AI projects and solutions already in production. Your role will be to refine and extend these systems while developing new cutting-edge generative AI solutions. Working closely with the CTO, you will maintain the company's AI vision and strategy. You will work hand-in-hand with the product management and software development teams to materialize innovative ideas into technological solutions, opening up new horizons for our users. Tasks and responsabilities

Lead a team of specialized Artificial Intelligence and software developers to develop, train, refine and deploy unique multi-modal machine learning or large language models (LLMs).
Collaborate closely with product managers, domain experts, and cross-functional teams to identify specific industry issues and leverage AI to generate significant added value.
Oversee the data collection and preparation effort required for model training, ensuring the quality, relevance and diversity of datasets.
Conduct regular performance and impact analyses of deployed models, implementing drift detection mechanisms and iterations to maintain optimal efficiency.
Promote the improvement of solution quality, security and performance.
Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within AI teams, by recognizing and removing obstacles, and creating an environment conducive to technical creativity.
Promote and champion the use of AI throughout the organization, highlighting competitive advantages and guiding the adoption of responsible and innovative practices.

Your profile

Required Qualifications

Solid understanding of ML/DL techniques, algorithms and tools, particularly CNNs, RNNs (LSTM) and Transformers (BERT, BART, GPT/T5, LLMs)
Excellent programming skills in Python with a solid grounding in programming, optimizations and software design.
Experience with training BERT and GPT models, with fluency in PyTorch and NLP techniques.
Practical experience with information retrieval Frameworks such as LlamaIndex, LangChain, FAISS, Haystack, etc.
Practical skills with MLOps Frameworks such as KubeFlow, MLFlow or AirFlow.
Ability to work in a highly agile and intensely iterative software development process.
Willingness to guide, coach and help other developers develop.
Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely on complex technical, architectural and/or organizational issues and to propose iterative solutions.

Required Skills and Abilities

A master’s or doctoral degree in machine learning, artificial intelligence or a related field.
