Senior Scrum Master

As a Senior Scrum Master, you will facilitate multi-disciplinary agile teams, remove obstacles and cultivate an environment of continuous improvement. Working closely with the Product Owner, you will clarify the backlog, involve the team in planning and focus on value delivery. Your expertise in agile tools and metrics will enable you to track performance, optimize processes and promote technical excellence within the empowered team. Home Office (Canada or Worldwide)

Tasks and responsabilities

Eliminate obstacles to development team productivity by promoting autonomy, encouraging team decision-making and protecting the team from external interference.
Identify and quickly resolve bottlenecks, process deviations and any other issues affecting the team’s workflow, providing agile solutions based on best practices.
Effectively facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily meetings, sprint reviews, retrospectives), creating a safe, positive and collaborative environment favoring open communication and continuous improvement.
Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure backlog clarity, involve the team in requirements definition and planning, and ensure user stories are ready for upcoming sprints.
Transparently track and communicate team performance metrics, such as velocity, capacity and anticipated variations due to vacations or other factors.
Promote transparency by openly sharing information, challenges, dependencies and critical issues with the team and relevant stakeholders.
Ensure that sprint objectives are met by facilitating a balanced distribution of tasks within the team and actively preparing for future sprints.
Communicate and reinforce the understanding of Scrum principles, Lean practices and Agile values within the team, keeping the framework simple.
Cultivate an environment of continuous learning and growth by encouraging training, experimentation and knowledge sharing within the team.

Your profile

Required Qualifications

At least 6 years’ experience as a Scrum Master in a SaaS product.
In-depth understanding of Scrum, Lean practices and Agile principles, demonstrated by concrete results from successful projects.
Proven ability to motivate and empower teams, resolve conflicts constructively and promote collaboration and team cohesion.
Exceptional communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills to create positive and productive working environments.
Experience in using Agile tools (Jira, Gitlab, etc.) and metrics to measure and improve team performance.
Experience in identifying, prioritizing and managing technical debt within teams.
Scrum Master or equivalent Agile certification highly recommended.
Knowledge of SPACE Framework and DevEx principles, and ability to apply these concepts to improve developer productivity and experience.

Proven expertise in coaching agile technical teams, helping developers to continuously improve.
